Following his party’s victory in the October 6th provincial election, Premier Dalton McGuinty announced that the 41st session of the Ontario Legislature will begin sitting on November 21st with the election of the Speaker.
The speech from the throne will follow on November 22. It will lay out the government’s agenda for the session. The government will then present the Fall Economic Update on November 23, providing an overview of the province’s finances.
The Premier has indicated that the economy will be the focus for this upcoming session.
“I know that we share the same top priority… the same one shared by all of our families, all our businesses, all our institutions here in Ontario, we need to focus on jobs and the economy. I am very much looking forward on getting down to work with my colleagues in the Legislature,” McGuinty said.
