The Government Relations team is excited to announce the appointment of John Oddi as Chair of OREA’s 2017-2018 Government Relations Committee.
Mr. Oddi, will be leading some of OREA’s most important files, including; stopping the implementation of a mandatory energy audit scheme, and promoting affordable home ownership.
“Ontario’s 70,000 REALTORS® are lucky to have John heading up their advocacy at Queen’s Park,” said Ettore Cardarelli, President of OREA. “It was a natural choice. John has always been heavily involved in OREA’s government relations efforts and has enjoyed a very good working relationship with his local MPP, Speaker Dave Levac.”
“It is an honour to be selected as GRC Chair for the upcoming year,” said John Oddi. “A priority for me, and OREA, will be to promote affordable home ownership in our province. On a daily basis, I see more and more clients struggling to achieve the Canadian dream of home ownership. I want to help them.”
Mr. Oddi is a Sales Representative with Royal LePage Action Realty and has been active in organized real estate for over 30 years. He has served as Director, Vice-President, and President of the Brantford Regional Real Estate Association (BRREA). He is also actively involved in his local community, serving as the President of the Brantford Church Hockey League and Co-Chairman of the Professional Division of Brant United Way.
