It’s been a busy two weeks as OREA pres!! Whew.
But that is the best thing about this job…travelling around the province, getting out there and meeting the members.
I had the pleasure of attending the London St. Thomas AGM and 75th anniversary celebration. What a wonderful event. It was full of positive energy and lots of history. Congratulations to LSTAR.
I also went to Timmins for the first time in my life! Northern Area OREA Director Richard Leroux was a great host. We visited the Shania Twain Centre and had a very productive Northern Area meeting.
It was then back to London for the Western Area meeting…hosted by Western Area Director Anna Vozza. We had a good discussion and presentation from local police on the Amber alert program and also an update from REC O and of course our Provincial Director for CREA Gerry Weir.
The next day was the AGM for the Toronto Real Estate Board and their Realtor Quest tradeshow. I addressed about 2500 TREB members at the AGM and the tradeshow was a huge success. Kudos to TREB for another successful event!!
After two days in Toronto and after being home for less than 24 hrs I managed to put 2 deals together on 2 of our listings!!
All and all a bit of a whirlwind but very successful and I am happy that I am still managing to deliver for my clients as well as represent my members! Keeps me grounded and very grassroots!
Looking forward to CREA PAC days in Ottawa and then the National Association of REALTORS mid year meetings in Washington DC.
Take care, keep on selling and will blog again soon!
