Did you know that most real estate boards and REALTORS® in Ontario give back to their communities? This is in addition to supporting the REALTORS Care Foundation.
The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board will be holding the 2012 President’s Charity Mardi Gras Ball on October 19th in support of Home Suite Hope. This shelter based charity is unique in its approach to homelessness and is deeply rooted in the community. OMDREB believes that by supporting Home Suite Hope, together they can help reduce the number of homeless families in Halton. Get more information about the gala.
The Toronto Real Estate Board is involved in a number of charitable programs including TREB’s Breakfast Program, and fundraising for Habitat for Humanity.
Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association Inc. helped collect backpacks and school supplies for local school children for back-to-school time.
Kitchener Waterloo Association of REALTORS® raised $22000 for ROOF (Reaching Our Outdoor Friends) via their charity golf tournament in July. ROOF is a local agency providing safety, support, and overall well-being for homeless youths and youths-at-risk, age 12-25, in the Waterloo Region.
The REALTORS® Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound (RAGBOS) recently held a successful golf tournament raising funds which were donated to Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce.
London St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® is involved with several shelter-related charities, including:
- Mission Services of London
- The Unity Project
- Women’s Community House
- Violence Against Women Services (Elgin County)
