During OREA’s annual Leadership Conference in March 2013, OREA’s Young Professionals Network hosted a Tools and Technology forum. Over 400 people attended the event and the positive response combined with ongoing requests from OREA members for more instruction on the best methods of using technology to create a new event. So, Emerge – Moving You Forward with the Tools for Tomorrow, was born.
Emerge is a new dynamic conference offered by OREA that will explore the latest tools and technologies available in the real estate marketplace. Six regional conferences are scheduled to take place across Ontario between September and December 2013. Emerge will feature topics designed to develop the skills of real estate professionals. Attendees will be instructed on the best ways to use the newest tools and techniques in a way that will set them apart from the competition.
At each conference a panel of industry experts will discuss topics ranging from the “Paperless Office” to “Building Relationships through Facebook”. Emerge panelists will be sharing knowledge they have gained from their own experiences, talking about the tools and technologies they use on a day-to-day basis.
The Emerge conferences will also feature “Breakout Sessions” in the afternoon, immediately following lunch. These sessions will give attendees the opportunity to dive deeper into their choice of the topics covered in the morning panels in smaller groups.
At the conclusion of each day’s activities, OREA YPN will host a networking event. Conference attendees are encouraged to take advantage of this event to form new relationships, learn new ideas, and uncover new business opportunities.
