The College offers many support services to ensure students have a positive learning experience and succeed. These services include assistance with course content through the online educational forums, and instructor support line, proven study aids available at a reasonable price, and a mentoring kit to launch the career of new graduates.
My Portfolio – OREA’s online My Portfolio resource centre is each student’s single-source information database for all course administration needs. Available 24/7 students can access online courses, view course grades, print history of courses, and receive up-to-date College communications.
The toll-free College Instructor Support Line is available Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The online education forums allow students to review or participate in discussion forums or post questions. The forums are moderated by College Curriculum Staff.
Exam Tutor® is a CD that contains practice exam questions from the Pre-registration, Articling, and Broker courses. The CD is formatted for use on any computer.
Passit® features more than 500 sample multiple choice questions in study modes and timed exam modes. The online study guide is available for the Pre-registration Courses, the Commercial Real Estate Transaction, and Real Property Law.
A Mentoring Kit for New Salespeople: Training for Success includes three DVDs and several booklets, with such ‘soft skills’ topics as business and career planning, professionalism, time management, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and prospecting techniques.
Student Support Team – The College has created a team of support specialists to enhance the services currently provided to students. Support team members will proactively contact new and prospective students and give them a virtual tour of all College services, including a review of the learning path and important timelines. As students progress through the program, the support team may contact them again with offers of assistance at significant points, such as if an examination needs to be rewritten, or if they seem to be in jeopardy of not completing the program in time.
