Earlier this week, the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton- Burlington co-sponsored a very successful mayoral candidates’ debate in partnership with the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and the Hamilton Halton Home Builders Association.
While there was lively debate on many important city issues, including the future of Hamilton’s proposed LRT, the candidates all agreed on one thing—no to an MLTT in Hamilton! Candidates Brad Clark, Fred Eisenberger, and Brian McHattie expressed their concern that an MLTT would be the wrong tax for the city, and would be counterproductive to attracting new residents and businesses to the City of Hamilton.
