The Government Relations team is excited to announce the appointment of Valerie Miles as Chair of OREA’s 2016-17 Government Relations Committee. Ms. Miles also serves as Director-at-Large on the OREA Board of Directors.
“In the past year, Ontario REALTORS® demonstrated how important advocacy is to our industry,” said Miles. “I look forward to working with this year’s committee to continue to ensure a strong REALTOR® voice at Queen’s Park.”
OREA’s Government Relations Committee advocates for a legislative and regulatory environment at Queen’s Park that is favourable for REALTORS® and the province’s home owners.
Ms. Miles has been active in organized real estate for 15 years. She has served as past-president of the Bancroft and Area Association of REALTORS® where she served as chair of several of the board’s committees including finance, education/membership and professional standards. At OREA, Ms. Miles has served as provincial director for Northeastern Ontario, chaired the finance and audit committee and has served as a member of the government relations, marketing and communication and REALTORS Care® committees.
Ms. Miles is a salesperson with RE/MAX Country Classics Ltd., Brokerage in Bancroft. In addition to her leadership in organized real estate, Ms. Miles is active in her local community. She has served as president of the local choir and chaired her local bowling league.
