Ontario PC Party elects Patrick Brown as Leader

On May 3rd and 7th, Ontario PC Party members from across Ontario cast ballots to select the new Leader of the Ontario PCs. On Saturday, the ballots were counted and Barrie MP Patrick Brown was announced as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.

Patrick was first elected to Barrie City Council in 2000 and re-elected in 2003. In 2006, he became the Member of Parliament for Barrie. He was subsequently re-elected in 2008 and 2011. For four years, Patrick served as Chair of the Conservative’s GTA and Central Ontario Caucus. He is also an honorary citizen of Gujarat and an honorary firefighter in the Province of Ontario.
