The Ontario Real Estate Association and the Ontario REALTORS Care Foundation have announced a combined donation of $40,000 to the Alberta Floods Fund on behalf of Ontario REALTORS®.
In support of the relief efforts, the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation is running a nationwide campaign with all monies donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
According to Phil Dorner, president of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), “OREA and the Ontario REALTORS Care Foundation are proud to join forces with the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation to help the Canadian Red Cross bring some relief to our Alberta neighbours.”
Dorner adds, “REALTOR® involvement and commitment to community is no secret. With thousands of people in need in flood ravaged southern Alberta, our REALTOR® family is ready and willing to lend our support to the relief efforts. We (REALTORS®) are committed to helping our neighbours, communities and fellow Canadians in need.”
The Red Cross has specified that financial donations are needed for food, shelter and water and the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation has provided a secure place where REALTORS® and other members of the community can donate online. Simply visit www.realtorscare.ca to make a donation.
All money raised will be contributed to the Alberta Floods Fund, administered by the Canadian Red Cross.
