The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) is excited to announce the appointment of Sean Morrison as Chair of the association’s 2018 Government Relations Committee.
Mr. Morrison will be leading some of OREA’s most important files and promoting the Canadian dream of home ownership at Queen’s Park. A priority for Mr. Morrison will be advocating for the passage of personal real estate corporations (PRECs).
“Sean’s strong leadership skills and continued commitment to REALTORS® in Ontario make him a natural choice to lead OREA’s advocacy at Queen’s Park,” said David Reid, President of OREA. “He will work hard to push for government policies that favour greater housing affordability to ensure more Ontarians have a place to call home.”
“The Government Relations Committee has an exciting year ahead, with a provincial election fast approaching home ownership should be a central focus for all three political parties. OREA will be there to help promote and protect the Canadian dream of home ownership in Ontario,” said Sean Morrison.
Mr. Morrison has been active in the real estate profession for 12 years. He is currently the Broker and Area Manager for StreetCity Realty Inc., Brokerage in Stoney Creek. Since 2012, Sean has served on the Board of Directors for the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB). He has also served as a member and Chair of several RAHB committees, such as finance, audit and professional standards. In 2017, Mr. Morrison served as the Chair of OREA’s Standard Forms Committee.
He is currently serving a two-year term as Provincial Director for the Southern Ontario Area on the 2018 OREA Board of Directors.
