E-signatures can save time and benefit consumers, however, many REALTORS® are unclear on what is required to transition to paperless technology. The introduction of e-signatures for agreements of purchase and sale in 2015 was accompanied by specific obligations to protect the consumer.
On October 18th, 2016, Ontario Real Estate Association host Cassandra Agnew Walker, legal expert Lou Radomsky, and Real Estate Council of Ontario representative John Burnet will provide a detailed overview of the specific requirements for using e-signatures in OREA’s monthly webinar. The webinar will answer the common questions:
- Does paperless mean no paper ever?
- Does paperless mean no “paper trail”?
- What is the protocol for using e-signatures?
In addition, participants will have an opportunity to ask their own questions during a 30 minute Q&A. Registration is open to all OREA members. All members who register will automatically receive a link to the webinar recording following the live event.
