The YPN Leadership Awards recognize and promote leadership in organized real estate and our community.
There is value in spotlighting the people that embody true leadership in their profession and in their local community groups. Doing so promotes and encourages others to seek leadership opportunities and to improve their skills.
The best part about being a 2016 YPN Leadership Award Winner is being able to be a spokesperson about the value of volunteerism within organized real estate and our local community. It is truly a gift to be able to help others see that growth doesn’t have to stop with making a difference in your business. The opportunities to continue to expand and develop are many.
Being chosen was a humbling experience for me. To stand among such amazing leaders is an experience I won’t soon forget. The award was a validation of the years I’ve spent working with not only our local and provincial association, but with various community groups. When I contemplate what this award is about for me, the parable of the sower comes to mind: by doing good, you will receive good. It reminds me that to succeed, we must give.
I hope that other Relators who are new to the business will consider applying for a YPN Leadership Award. By advocating for ourselves and for each other we are able to make a lasting impact on all the lives we touch – something that our profession can be truly proud of.
